Hi Pete, I was speaking to my boss this afternoon and I reckon I will unfortunately have to sit it out. I will get in touch with Fricke tomorrow. However I'm definitely up for going any trips when my roster is free during Mon-Wed of each week. Might see you at the group meeting tomorrow night!

What I like about the River2Sea bubblepop 45 is it is a bit heavier than other poppers of its size. You can fire them a good distance, and they cop a hiding especially when upgraded to size 8 vmcs. Thanks for the pics Brett, feel free to put up others.

Sorry mate, didn't see this quiery till now. Double Island is an awesome spot for pelagics, just choose your weather wisely. It fishes well particularly in summer during bigger tides. As for the email, unfortunately thats the only way to communicate. I would prefer not to have forums on here, I don't have enough time to moderate them. Check out for a great interactive way of talking to NQ fishos.

G'day Dan. Great information on the site. Just new to Cairns but getting out and about fishing as much as I can. Thinking about fishing the upper mossman for sooties and also double island for reefies at some time. If you have any tips that would be great. I'll write a story if either goes well.

Cheers and happy new year.

PS. Is there anyway to communicate with members of this site other than singular email? Thanks Shano
